Macmillan Billboards
These oversized units were used as monthly promos for the former computer bookstore, Macmillan Computer Publishing. Each month, a different book series would get promoted on the site. Each ad unit created consisted of 4 sub units: 1) a nice, visually appealing main graphic; 2) a GIF animation rotating 3 new releases; 3) a tagline; 4) a call to action. |

Frommer's on Priceline
These custom sized banners appear on Priceline after a successful booking and invite their users to enter the Frommer's monthly contest. From 2002 up until now, these banners enjoy an amazing clickthru rate ranging from 1-3% (a good banner these days usually gets around 0.7%).

Frommer's on Yahoo
Created between 2000 and 2003, these banners ran almost all the time in Yahoo! Travel and Yahoo!. They were responsible for driving a significant amount of traffic to the Frommers.com Destinations section. |

Frommer's on CNN
All four of these banners ran on CNN in 2000 to promote the Frommers.com Newsletter. Each unit had the same copy and similar animation, but with slightly different objects. Simple shapes and colors were used so that motion could be maximized within the given file size requirement of 16 KB. |

Frommer's Contest Banners
From 1997 - 2002, the Frommer's house banners for the monthly contest always ran in unsold ad spaces. These units were created to attract users who did not enter Frommers.com through the homepage or newsletter (where the contest had prominent placement). The 468x60 banner ran across the top of the site, near the logo. |

From 1997 - 2002, the Frommer's house banners for the monthly contest always ran in unsold ad spaces. These units were created to attract users who did not enter Frommers.com through the homepage or newsletter (where the contest had prominent placement). The 125x125 unit ran within the body of the content pages, with text wrapped around it.
